If you take your time and savor every moment, you'll get a feel for what it must have been like at Christmastime in London, circa the 1840s. You'll miss a lot of the artistic touches, if you race through. We recommend that you meander through the Macy's Dickens Village - and we recommend that you meander, rather than rush, for this reason: When you walk inside, you are transported back to 1840s London, with narrow alleys and plenty of tiny shops. It is - literally - a life-size rendition of A Christmas Carol. The British author Charles Dickens first published A Christmas Carol in 1843, and it remains the most popular Christmas book in the world. The best way of describing the Macy's Dickens Village, is that it is like traveling back in time, for over a century and a half, to Victorian London. (Macy's, in turn, is the new occupant of the old, beloved John Wanamaker Department Store, which opened there in 1911. Since the 2006 Christmas season, it has been dwelling at Macy's Center City Philadelphia location, located at 13th and Market Streets. Since 1985 - when it opened at the now-gone, and much-lamented Strawbridge & Clothier department store - it has been part of Christmas time for Philadelphians of all ages. The Macy's Dickens Village is a beloved, cherished Philadelphia Christmas tradition. (Note that the Macy's Dickens Village closes an hour earlier than the Macy's Holiday Light Show, which closes at 8:00 PM.)
It will be open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, every day, except for Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year's Day. Macy's Dickens Village - A Christmas Carol - will begin on Black Friday, November 25, 2011, and be open to visitors up to and including New Year's Eve, 2011/2012. You can enter and leave at any time you wish. Also, there are no "shows", so to speak, unlike the Comcast Holiday Spectacular, or the Macy's Holiday Light Show.

Also try different categories of items (apparel, weapons etc) if it continues not working. Sometimes the game doesn’t register it so try out a few different items if the first doesn’t work. Simple equip some other item to continue. The last puzzle is when you find a well at the end of a tunnel. All you have to do is pull the chains that you can find behind the stone heads to the left and right of the statue and the path will be open.
It took me quite a while to figure this puzzle out because the help given is “give her what she really wants” which didn’t make a whole lot of sense. The second puzzle is when you are faced with a statue and a dead end. Trigger them and take a step backwards to avoid taking dmage. There are traps in the dark, usually at the top of stairs. Simply do not walk in those circles of light and you will be fine. The first is a dark room that has a few lights that shine bright circles on the ground. There are a couple of puzzles along the way. In partticular you have to walk the Pilgrim’s Path to return the Skeleton Key to Nocturnal. This dungeon is part of the quest line of the thieves guild.
